AMOUAGE – BRACKEN MAN
If the sudden drop in temperature – combined with winter sunshine on leaves on the turn – is putting you in mind of a new fragrance to match the season, may I suggest you think about the recently-launched Bracken Man by luxury fragrance house Amouage.
It’s a classic fougere that is well-named – after the bright, aromatic citrusy opening, the mood is definitely one of walking on damp earth through a leafy, fern-dense wood, thanks to the heart of cedarwood, sandalwood, geranium and cinnamon. The earthiness is underscored by the base of patchouli and musk – slightly sweet and rather sexy.
An what’s not to love about the glass crystal bottle with a fern leaf and vines depicted in gold, the Swarovski peridot set into the cap and retro-style paisley box (that’s been designed to be reused for… trinkets maybe)?
