Axel Arigato is a brand that focuses on designery minimalism and construction mixed together on high quality materials. Interestingly one of the brand's major selling points is that it releases a new shoe each week, no mean feat at all that pun was totally unintentional.
The result is a nice pared back collection of shoes that range from quite high fashion to nice wearable styles that you could see in a bar or wherever else. The product is made in Portugal and uses Italian materials which is always something to look out for. The move away from traditional seasonality is something that is always interesting to see in terms of execution. Usually you would think that it would mean a slower release of product rather than weekly and that is something that marks the brand apart.
Part of the brand's success has been down to their leveraging of social media and when you consider that they've gained their following after 18 months of business that is pretty impressive. Further to this they have released a video showcasing the prioduction process in the factory in Porto, Portugal. The video features the latest style which is called the Clean 90 Laceless. Of course the head of the factory, a senor Augusto, takes great care with production.
The Clean Laceless 90 is £150 and available online now.
