Canada Goose Celebrates Anniversary with Coffee Table Book
Walking around any town centre in the winter months and it will be very difficult to spot somebody not wearing a Canada Goose jacket. A luxury item that fuses fashion with function and works just as easily at the top of Snowden as well as the streets of Shoreditch.
The outwear brand that started life in 1957 creating high quality, performance down jackets and parkas for extreme temperatures, the local police and outside workers who required protection from the harsh Canadian climate is now celebrating its 60th anniversary.
And what better way to celebrate than with a coffee table book looking back at the brands history and the breath taking landscapes and people that have helped to make the label a success.
“Our brand, our reputation, is built in the North. The North is pure. The landscape is beautiful, staggeringly beautiful. The air is freezing, but refreshing. I feel like my soul is being cleansed through the permafrost somehow. You come back from there and it’s like you’ve just had some kind if religious experience.” Dani Reiss, President and CEO, Canada Goose.
For anybody who loves the outdoor life this book is a must have. This is not just about the famous parkas but a state of mind and a way of life for the adventurers and extreme sports fans whose lifestyles require the best quality clothing. Looking back through the archives and interviews with the ‘Goose People’ who share their stories and anecdotes about what makes Canada Goose truly special.
The book also looks at recent collaborations with high fashion labels Vetements and Opening Ceremony and examines how the brand is still pushing the boundaries sixty years after entrepreneur Sam Tick started the label.
