So, we've made it another eleven and a little bit months in to the year and everything has gradually got more festive. Now there are Christmas lights in shopping centres and annoying songs at work all the time and you've realised that you're going to have to clear out your bank account. We have put together a little guide that will guide you through doing so.
Johnnie Walker blue label is the best blended whiskey in the world. Having personally sampled it at a tasting session at the London branch of The Whisky Shop I can personally attest to this. It is delicious. Originally bottled on the banks of the river Clyde by a man named Johnnie Walker the Blue Label is the top of the standard selection from the brand. They also made a rather nice video that's worth a watch which is titled A Gentleman's Wager II and features Jude Law and Gianfranco Gianni. Do note that if you are in the capital then the Whisky Shop is offering a free tasting session on Thursday the 10th and again a week later on the 17th. Arrive at any time between 17:00 - 19:00 for a sample and a bit more information and background on Blue Label.
Johnnie Walker Blue Label: £50 for 20cl and £200 for 70cl available from The Whiskey Shop with stores nationwide.
It's hard to buy for people with good taste. It always needs a bit more thinking about than people with average taste as misfiring turns you all of a sudden in to the aunty who buys the wrong size if you know what we mean. It has also been a surprisingly mild winter. With this in mind this C.P. Company bomber doesn't really need too much extra information as it is a) a C.P. Company bomber and b) is beautiful. The thing that makes it so great apart from the cut, fabric, great pockets and double zip is the pocket with the lens on the sleeve which lets you see what's in the pocket. It does fit small so if you pull the trigger then make sure to get a size up.

Sometimes you just need to play it safe with gifts; something that the recipient will use and enjoy until the same time next year or even better past the next twelve months. Realm & Empire are the brand that have unique access to the Imperial War Museums archive of military clothing. They've got a selection of wonderful pieces inspired by the archive but it's the woolly hat and scarf combo that will be the best bet for your safe bet. It comes in wearable colours so you simply can't lose; it'll keep them warm and looking stylish.
Realm & Empire hat and scarf, £40 and £50 respectively come in gray, khaki, navy, black and cream.
Some people just prefer an experience to getting a phyiscal gift. This is for them. Ennio Morricone is the man behind some of the best and iconic film scores including the best spaghetti westerns, Once Upon A Time In The West, and the Clint Eastwood starring Dollars trilogy. The list of actors and directors that he has completed the cinema experience for is both long and illustrious. The film and classical great is accompanied by and directs the 86 strong Czech National Symphony Orchestra in a retrospective of his 50 year career. It will be worth it just to hear this in the flesh.
Ennio Morricone and the Czech National Symphony Orchestra at the o2 Arena, 16th February 2016, tickets from £55.
Palace often get touted as the new Supreme but that is a lazy comparison at best. Palace make some very nicely designed and executed clothing with a strong graphic influence. There is a definite sense of Britishness about them and at the moment there aren't many other brands that are rubbing shoulders with Supreme. Palace is definitely one of them and they're definitely a bit easier to get hold of without having to pay an extortionate amount on eBay. The product descriptions on their website are worth a read and whilst we've picked a particular t-shirt you pretty much can't lose with any of the others. Pro tip: Flatspot and Bored of Southsea have a good selection and size ranges when the palace store has sold out.
This is for the person who has to have that new new; the one who has to be the person who knew about that brand you just started wearing two years ago when they started at Central Saint Martins. The Oki Ni Gift Gallery is a nicely curated selection of gift ideas with a range of prices. Mainly though it is divided up in to a nice selection of categories: leather goods, watches, skin care, trainers, bags, shoes, hats, gloves and scarves and finishing touches. It lets you finely tune what you might be thinking of so whether it's a pair of sunglasses or an iPad case then they will have it in the appropriate section.
The Oki Ni Gift Gallery, prices vary but delivery is guaranteed until midnight of the 22nd for the UK via their Express Delivery service.
There's always that one guy for whom it just doesn't matter so much. Christmas just isn't his time of year so you may as well just get him something decent and useful because really, deep down, he'd be upset if he got nothing. It has to be practical without being expensive though otherwise the book tokens that he got for you would seem small in comparison. So you get them consumables. Specifically, and as long as they're not a veggie, vegan or pescetarian, you get them meat vouchers. Whether they get themselves on great steak or some nice little bits you know that this guy will appreciate it. Plus, it's slightly unexpected so you'll get some bonus points that way.
From £10 and up, the Great British Meat gift voucher.
