Patrick Grant of E. Tautz fame owns a factory in the north west of England, as one does, that manufactures for a number of other brands including his own. The thing with owning a factory, I'm assuming, is that you become familiar with the down time that making seasonal clothing collections creates. To combat this and to promote British manufacturing and keep people employed Community Clothing was created. The end product is some really well made quality garments: selvedge denim, harrington jackets, raincoats, sweat shirts, cardigans and t-shirts all at very reasonable prices from £19 for t-shirt, £65 for the denim and £129 for a raincoat. Decent eh?
I would say that the only weird thing about it is that's an eBay store but ultimately if Patrick Grant wants to pay those fees then that's up to him. Maybe eBay have done him a solid and said you know what Patrick Grant, you can have a discount for attempting to do something beneficial to a once proud manufacturing industry.
