Eyevan is a Japanese eyewear company that make sunglasses with tradition and craftmanship at the fore but have a new creative direction. Often the best way to look forwards is to looks backwards with the company looking at hand drawn archival designs from between 1972 and 1985. This is where the numbers come from at the end of the brand in case you didn't twig. The brand is owned and operated by a company called Optec Japan Corporation and that has always been the case. Previously in the 1980s the brand had experienced success throughout the U.S.
The brand is widely stocked at high end opticians worldwide and can be found in boutiques like Liberty and Colette as well as online at Mr. Porter. The brand release a collection each season (January and June) and have around thirty optical styles and thirty sunglasses.
