FIT for the sun by Belinda Morris
If you’re reasonably well-versed in the ways of skincare, you’ll be aware of the power and efficacy of serums; the fact that their molecules are smaller than those of a cream, and so are absorbed more quickly and deeply into the skin. Well, now there is a sunscreen serum and what’s more, it’s been formulated specifically for men… the first of its kind.
FIT Skincare (UK-based and manufactured) recognises that healthy skin is dependant on protection from the sun – in particularly UVA radiation – and that exposure to the sun leads to fine lines, age spots, sunburn (obviously) and possibly skin cancer. And so the company has introduced Sun Protect Serum SPF50, which contains non-whitening, non-greasy mineral filters that work to provide very high protection as soon as they are applied.
This shield (think Gortex for the skin) actually does double duty by providing high UV protection, but also acts as an anti-ageing facial treatment thanks to its antioxidant ingredients like vitamin E, hyaluronic acid (for moisture) and amino acid arginine. The serum is also free from parabens, sulfates and the like and is waterproof – making it useful if sport is your thing.
