IT’S SKIN – POWER 10 FORMULA COLLECTION
If you like a full grooming routine – an all-encompassing ritual that addresses your particular needs – then may I introduce you to Power 10 by It’s Skin, a south Korean-based cosmeceutical brand. Exclusive to Boots, its packaging is so bright you may well have spotted it already… and it’s bright because Power 10 is all about colour-coding your skincare. It’s also about cosmeceutical-grade products at affordable prices, so read on.
You could choose the products (cleansers, moisturisers, serums, masks) to match your bathroom (Blue? Green? Yellow? Pink???) but far better to use the coding to work out what your skin needs – this might actually mean mixing the colours up a bit.
So, to give you an example, I chose a ‘Vc Facial Cleansing Foam’ (£14.99) which contains vitamin C to brighten dull/lacklustre skin… which happens to be in a yellow tube. The paraben-free gel foams luxuriantly on damp skin and the smell (which I can’t quite identify) is sort of subtly fruity. From the five-strong range I could also have opted for Gf (blue) with gingko biloba leaf water to quench hydrated skin.
From the range of seven Effector Serums (£12) I’m using Formula Q10 (in an orange bottle), which contains coenzyme Q10 to rejuvenate mature skin, but VE with vitamin E would boost lustre and nourish… equally helpful. (Apparently, one of these serums sells every 7 seconds globally).
In the seven One Shot Solution Moisturisers (£18.99) there’s a patented ‘Power Protection’ compound of plant extracts to counteract free radicals, revitalise skin and help prevent inflammation. Then each moisturiser has a different texture, according to different skin needs. Wr (orange) is good to nourish, energy-boost and firm skin and although the tube seems small, a little goes a long way.
All in all, a very impressive, user-friendly regime and my skin is thanking me for it.
Power 10 is available from Boots.com and in-store.
