Jermyn Street Collective
London Collections: Men or LCM the bi-annual fashion event for men in our capital city has become a staple part of the menswear calendar, celebrating the creative and commercial importance of menswear in London.
One of our favourite men’s fashion destinations is Jermyn Street, situated parallel to the more well known, Piccadilly. The street which dates back to 1664 (yes men were interested in what they were wearing even then) is now home to some of the finest men’s tailor’s, shirt makers, leather goods and fantastic food and wine stores all with some of best quality British products available.
Jermyn Street hosted a show at part of London Collections, previewing some of the Spring/Summer 2016 collections to celebrate the exclusive St. James area of London, which continues to flourish after the growing importance of men’s fashion in the UK.
Some of the brands showing as part of the collective included heritage brands including Aquascutum, Dunhill, Budd Shirts, Turnbull and Asser as well as one of our favourite contemporary labels Jigsaw Menswear showing a rather cool denim on denim outfit. This wasn’t just a look back but a look forward to the future on men’s fashion in and around St.James.
