DORCO CLASSIC RAZOR
Launched here just this year, it may not be a name that you’re familiar with, but South Korea-based Dorco comes with 60 years of experience in razors and is already available in 130 countries. So it’s clearly doing something right.
So what’s so different/good about it? With seven blades on a pivoting head, the new Classic is a ‘world first’, promising a close, comfortable shave in the fewest strokes. And the slimmer, denser blades help to reduce irritation, as does the lubricating strip with antioxidant argan oil and calendular extract.
It also looks pretty cool – a vintage-inspired, gloss black, ergonomic handle – and comes in a simple black box (so much nicer than a plastic pack). Here’s what my tester thought:
“It’s quality weight gives way to a perfect balance and while the initial light feel when shaving makes you feel a little wary of pushing the seven blades too heavily into your skin, I found that I quickly adapted to it and could shave closely and smoothly with confidence. I would have expected it to cost a lot more than it does.”
