Luxe treatment for hair by Belinda Morris.
For hair, the signs of ageing are not simply and solely about going grey – it’s also a matter of damage. As we get older the hair follicles lose some of their strength and as a result hair can look dryer/less nourished, dull and lacking in bounce. With this in mind hair care brand Revolution has come up with Noir Caviar, a three-step treatment regime influenced by advances in skin care, which aims to replicate the kind of bouncy, vital looking hair that seems to be achieved at a salon.
The magic ingredient is a cocktail of nutrient- and mineral-rich black caviar for antioxidant protection; collagen to help strengthen the hair above and below the scalp and ceramides to help the hair hold in moisture while, at the same time, protecting it from chemical and heat damage and UV rays.
As hair products go Noir Caviar is not cheap, but having used the Cleanser (£13.50 – 250ml), Moisturiser (£13.50 – 200ml) and Styling Crème (£24.99 – 150ml) just once, I can vouch for their effectiveness. My particularly dehydrated hair (with a tendency to unruly frizziness) felt noticeably softer and smoother. The Moisturiser (a conditioner in other words) can also be used as an intense treatment if left on for five minutes or so, and I have found that the Styling Crème works well on dry as well as damp hair.
