Attention denim heads! Nudie have a new release for you that is going to hit all of the right buzzwords: Cone Mill, Selvage, 14.75 oz denim and if you're really about denim then the words White Oak Mill will also put a smile on your face. If you're not that in to your denim but think that you could do with a new pair then read on.
Nudie jeans are a Swedish company but this pair have the good ol' U.S. of A. written all over them. The idea was conceived on a trip to the American west that Nudie's creative director took in 2014 where she visited the White Oak Cone Mill in Greensboro, North Carolina. A mill that dates back to 1891 and has been producing denim fabrics since 1915. In case maths isn't your strong point then that's literally more than 100 years of producing fabric.
Nudie have used this to their best advantage and created a style which is sourced only from Cone Denim fabric on their new style the Lean Dean. This is the pair that will get denim heads excited. This is what the list at the start was about. The denim is of the highest quality and is made from 100% US grown organic cotton. The actual manufcature takes place in San Francisco's Last Denim Shop. Numbered from 1-1000 and has an embossed leather patch and come in a organic poplin bag. It's all about the details.
Releasing today the jeans are available at select North American retailers and the Nudie Jeans online store and are priced at £185.
