Orlebar Brown x Morandini Marcello is a collaboration swim short connection that is monochromatic and graphically led. Marcello is known for exploring visual representations of movement in his work. Orlebar Brown are of course known for making very nice swim shorts. Naturally the designs have been printed over two of Orlebar Brown's most popular cuts: the Bulldog and the Setter.
Morandini Marcello has done an interview for the launch of the collection which can be viewed here and he has also listed his five favourite things that he has designed himself which turns out to be really quotable:
"While I firmly believe that every work I’ve done is an inseparable whole and can’t be classified, I’d probably choose the 1969 artwork number 96, which represents, graphically speaking, a transition in knowledge"
Marcello is also the Honorary Royal Designer at the Royal Society of Architects making him an excellent choice by Orlebar Brown. There can’t be that many higher accolades than that.
The Setter is a shorter short and retails at £160 whereas the mid-length Bulldog is £165 and both come in two individual printed pattern.
