Percival are a brand that are based in London that have been steadily growing over the last few years. This season sees them take inspiration from the Silk Road. Not the kind that expel use to buy things illegally on the dark web but the old kind that people actually used to use to trade silk on hundreds of years ago.
This comes through primarily in the fabrication and prints that the brand have used to put this season together from an Ottoman work suit that is the centre piece of the collection to kimono silks from Japan’s Kyushu and back to the Ottoman Empire to take in some lovely Kilim rugs.
The work suit is a reworking of the classic Percival trousers and outer shirt in a custom indigo Kilim pattern. Personally I’m a big found of the cloudy shirt but then as you go through look it becomes one of those where you want this, want that and oh you want that one too. From the rich creamy jackets to the natty blue on blue suit and Cuban collar to the wonderful orange cord jacket and the on to the prints on the shirts. Hot damn see you later financial security!
