There are things which are easy to associate with England, Englishness and British manufacturing when we’re talking about clothes: tweed, waxed cotton, jackets, waterproofing and blazers are some that spring to mind. Peregrine managed to tick all of these boxes when they created their waxed blazer. Crossing everything off that’s on the heritage blazer shopping list the jacket features: British Millerain waxed cotton, blue Harris tweed trims on the collar and pocket and there are even black contrast elbow patches. This could be the most English jacket there is.
nough waxing lyrical (sorry) about the concept – the nitty gritty is that this five button blazer has a storm flap on the collar and inside pockets as well as the obvious outer ones. Made in England by Peregrine who have been about their business long enough – since 1956 – to know the score. Available from Peregrine for £189.
