QASIMI launched their new website, which quite frankly, looks really nice and is in line with the brand's values and aesthetic. Like the clothes themselves the new site looks pared down, minimal and is very easy on the eyes. Before we go any further check it out here.
The new look site has a drop down menu to take you through from the new online store to the journal to the social pages and newsletter sign up. The home page has some feature product in the form of bomber jackets and the SS16 collection. The Journal has press clippings and links as well as an interview with the founder of the brand, Khalid Qasimi, and a link to their instagram feed. When we asked Mr Qasimi what the inspiration for the new site was he had this to say:
"The website is ultimately the space to showcase the work. Therefore I wanted it to be minimal and architectural, a gallery space to highlight products and collaborations. It is also quite simple to use - in an age where there is so much technical noise it had to be clean, calm, silent."
When we asked what the brand has in store for the rest of the year the response included some nice stuff to look forward to for fans of the brand:
"We just shot the AW16 look book and are preparing for the showrooms in Paris for sales. We are also hosting an event with The Shop at Bluebird in March featuring a collaboration with Gary Card for the SS16 collection."
