Wrinkle Killer for Men
Summer’s over… and it’s taken its toll hasn’t it? (No, you’re ok, that was a rhetorical question – I don’t want the details) If you’re post-30, you’ve probably noticed that your eyes don’t seem to have that bright, wide-awake, perky look about them. Instead there are dark circles and bags under them and… wait a minute, are those actually wrinkles in the corners?! It’s making you feel tired just looking them.
So obviously you’re going to need something more than a perfunctory swipe of moisturiser to sort this out. Responding to demand, the London-based skincare brand skinChemists – known for combining pioneering ingredients, expert knowledge and research – has come up with a line specifically for males: Wrinkle Killer for Men.
The three products (Serum, Eye Serum and Duo Moisturiser) form an anti-ageing regime, which has at its core a synthetic peptide called Syn-ake, which mimicks the venom of a viper, by inhibiting muscle contractions. Working alongside it are other ingredients – in the case of Wrinkle Killer Eye Serum (£74.5) there’s one that leaves the skin silky to the touch and oil free and another to tackle the signs of fatigue.
My tester tells me that contrary to what he expected, the serum feels light and cool, smoothes on easily (without dragging skin – I had to give him a quick tutorial on applying eye cream… gently does it) and absorbs quickly. After a couple of weeks’ use the heavy shadows under his eyes have definitely become lighter and the bags less defined. Result.
