Hi-tech skincare – where science meets nature by Belinda Morris
There’s a new skincare line for men on the block. And not just any old block either… it’s launched in Harvey Nichols. Nor is Stoer just any old line – the five products are introducing ‘Cosmetic Drone ‘ technology, a first for the male skincare market. As you might guess, cosmetic drones have the task of delivering active ingredients directly into the skin layer, for the best effect. There are five key ingredients, each sourced from extreme climates in five global locations: Mexico, Japan, West Africa, the Alps and Scotland – the latter being Stoer’s birthplace.
Behind Stoer is Scottish skincare expert and businesswoman Marianne Morrison, who spent three years or more working with experts to develop and refine the brand, while also scouring the world for the key ingredients. Each active is entrapped in a microscopic ‘Cosmetic Drone’ capsule to deliver it to a deeper layer of the skin – the technology is derived from medical drug delivery systems.
The natural ingredients, such as Barberry fig from Mexico, Wakame extracted from Japanese seaweed and Alpine plant stem cells, work together to sooth, firm, hydrate, protect, even-out skin tone, improve elasticity, plump…. a total support system so that skin can survive whatever life throws at you.
The range includes a Foaming Face Wash (£24 – 150ml) which the tester said felt so hydrating that for once his face didn’t feel dry and itchy after a shower; Face Scrub with mineral and volcanic oxfoliants (£27 – 75ml); Serum (£40 – 50ml); Power Mask with anti-oxidant vitamins to turbo charge a routine (£35 – 75ml) and Eye Serum to revitalize and combat dark circles and fine lines (£32 – 15ml).
