You may or may not be familiar with the brand Original Penguin. If not then they make smart gear for everyday wear although that is set to change a little bit with the launch of a new collection named Blue. It aims to elevate the brand a little and is made with fancier fabrics and everything is just a touch more premium. There’s a more formal, tailored slant on clothes that also feature print and patterns.
To help launch this new line Original Penguin have partnered with three fine gentleman, stylistically inclined, who styled the collection to their own esoteric tastes. They are: Gwilym Pugh, model, Joey London, blogger and Matthew Pike, creative. They also have offered their style advice so you can choose whom you would out like to emulate and then act accordingly:
What does it mean to be an Original?
Gwilym Pugh: ‘To me, being an original means having the self-confidence to do or wear what you want rather than what you think other people think is cool.’
What is your number one style rule?
Joey London: ‘Be yourself! If YOU want to wear those trainers with that suit... do it!’
What’s the best piece of advice someone has given you?
Matthew Pike: ‘First impressions mean everything. If your shoes aren’t clean, the shirt is stained or your fingernails arebitten – people will notice.’
